From March – April 2014 I completed a Micro-Residency at the Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop, which culminated in a group exhibition in early May. I really enjoyed getting the time and space to do research, and used the majority of my time to work on a life-size sculpture as part of an installation. Here’s a very small selection of photos from that residency…

Some of my research was more looking into more theories of colour and (re-)learning about the colour spectrum and how the particles behave differently at different frequencies. I had a large box of old filter gels from theatre lights that I sorted into a colour wheel.

Getting back to traditional clay modelling was so much fun and I was really wanting to challenge myself with a sculpture this size.
